Singapore wins gold medal at the 2023 Asia Pacific Youth Bridge Championships!

Good Evening ! Great News ! Great Achievements !
The winning team, which comprises Teo Xue Heng, Timothy Wu, Linus Lee, Bryan Yang, Gao Heng and Guan Xin, finished second in the round-robin and faced off against round-robin winners China over three segments. The score was very close throughout until Singapore pulled ahead by making several good decisions at key moments, eventually winning 97-79.5. It is worth noting that the team’s victory prevented a clean sweep by China across the team events.
Besides the winning U26 Teams, Singapore also fared commendably in three other team events. The U26 Mixed Team came in second place after a spirited battle against China in the finals. The team comprises Wu Xinyue, Goh Youyi, Tioh Jing Kai, Wang Xinyun, Pong Yi Zhen and Albert Hermanto. The U21 Team comprises Ai Yucheng, Li Yalan, Xu Nuoyi, Arthur Ke, Ong Zhi Jie, Loi Kai Jun and U31 Team comprises Sean Teo, Jazlene Ong, Siew Kheng Hun, Derek Lee, Ryan Chan, Soh Jay Min both also finished 4th in both categories.
In addition to all their great achievements, the U21, U26 and U31 Teams’ performances also earned them a berth in the coming World Youth Bridge Championships to be held in August later this year in the Netherlands.
We are very pleased to announce that all our Singapore National Youth Teams have been performing tremendously very well in the recent Asia Pacific Youth Bridge Championships 2023 held in Ningbo, China from 14th to 19th May 2023.
Particularly for our Singapore's U26 Team, against all odd and facing traditional Bridge powerhouse China as the underdog in the finals, our Singapore’s U26 Team emerged victorious as The New Champions, at the Asia Pacific Youth Bridge Championships held in Ningbo China on 19 May 2023.
